IC

NAME: Stelle
AGE: unknown, appears Early 20s
CANON: Honkai: Star Rail
CANON POINT: Post 3.4/Early 3.5
CRAU: n/a
OTHER: n/a

SUITABILITY: Stelle is a Nameless, who has dedicated herself to the Path of the Trailblaze, which is a concept that embodies the ideals of a former Aeon, Akivili, and in short, means her mission in life is to travel to new places, experience them as they are, seek to improve them in any way she is capable, while remaining open-minded to new experiences and embrace them. It's about discovery and learning and respecting each world as it is.

Additionally, while she might balk a little at first, Stelle is always ready to accept a challenge, and always confident she can blow the competition out of the water. As it were. Moving up the ranks will motivate her, as will the ability to help others do so in the process.

HISTORY: Stelle's first memory is waking up on Herta Space Station. A familiar woman gives her her marching orders: meet her new family, have adventures, find her destiny. Shortly after, it's revealed that a dormant Stellaron, a source of malevolent and incredible power when active, is now part of her. With no memory of her past before this event, she has only one direction to go: forward. Stelle is welcomed by the crew of the Astral Express, and brought into the fold of the Nameless, to Trailblaze. That is, after the Stellaron nearly detonates and Mr. Welt Yang manages to seal it properly within her. Eventually, it's revealed that Stelle was created with the purpose to contain a Stellaron, immune to the corruption.

What follows are myriad adventures, the Nameless traveling to various worlds and doing their best to genuinely help to solve the dire problems plaguing them. A frozen world, all but bled dry by a Stellaron that had been corrupting the leadership into leading the people to destruction. What they leave behind are new friends, allies, and a city united and healing. The next is a spaceship Alliance, yet another Stellaron to be subdued, and Stelle learns more about the history of her companions, and the cost of immortality. A Dreamscape follows, a world built in sleep and memoria, where all exists under the pretense of Harmony, but discord has summoned Order, and Stelle and the Nameless must fight back against a false sweet dream, to break out of a cage borne of good intentions, corrupted by the illusion of control.

Most recently, Stelle and Dan Heng arrived on a previously “undiscovered” world, toward what at first feels like the end of an epic tale, their unexpected arrival heralded as the missing piece to ending the recurring eras, and Stelle takes on the mantle of Deliverer... Only instead she has arrived at the Golden Peacock, after a painful parting, and a glimpse of golden fields.

ABILITIES: Stelle has a variety of basic abilities, each specific to a Path revealed to her by an Aeon, including the ability to summon the weapon appropriate to each:

Destruction: Physical damage: Baseball Bat, a strong single-target attack, a relatively strong 3-target attack, and an Ultimate 3-target attack

Preservation: Fire damage: Lance, a single-target attack, a stronger single-target attack, and an Ultimate that taunts enemies and shields allies, taking damage for them

Harmony: Imaginary damage: Hat, a single-target ranged attack, a random ranged bounce-attack aoe, and an Ultimate that grants allies more break damage against weakened targets

Remembrance: Ice damage: Quill, single-target ranged attack.

(This Path also features summoning of a memetic entity/Memosprite she calls Mem, who only speaks in “mem!”s, and while summoned for battle, provides damage/speed support to a character, and also occasionally has an aoe ice attack. The Ultimate is also a large scale ice attack from a supersized Mem. However...Mem is a sentient character whose friendship Stelle gains in Amphoreus. While she can still summon Mem anywhere due to the nature of the video game, it might still fall under some disallowed abilities/characters, so I'm leaning towards saying she can't summon Mem, but could still use the quill ice attack, because that can be done without Mem being summoned at all.)

Additionally, Stelle has some World-Specific abilities that will likely not apply here: in Penacony, due to her friendship with the mascot Clocky, she can alter the moods of others via Clockwork within the Dreamscape. On Amphoreus, she is able to reverse time for specific objects, repairing them, thanks to a connection with the time Titan, Oronyx.

Stelle has also been shown to have excellent business management skills, having been entrusted with temporary management of the Belobog Museum, a shipping dock in the Xianzhou Luofu, a restaurant for fairies in Aedes Elysiae, managing a band in Penacony.....etc.

VICES:

Impulsive: Stelle does not think before she acts, as a general rule. While there are exceptions to this, she is much more likely to touch things before asking questions, to open every garbage can she sees, to leap into action before getting all the facts. While often harmless, it does frequently lead to misunderstandings, and escalations, and drags her friends into the consequences along with her, for example escalating a conflict with an IPC member until it results in her friend having to learn swordplay to honorably fight him in a duel. She has been known to repeatedly take sips of mystery beverages lying around until she passes out, enter food eating contests on a whim, and open random packages that have been lying around. Once curiosity strikes, it's all over.

Aggressive: Given the chance, Stelle would rather let her bat do the talking. While she's not maliciously violent, it is often shown that one of her perceived options to most situations is to assume a fight is inevitable, and to be the one to start it, if that's the case. Threats are a frequent option she considers, even when the conversation is not particularly hostile, though more often than not this is with someone who has been shown to be annoying and/or untrustworthy (Sampo, for example) or a faction that also tends to fight first, ask questions later (The IPC, for example.) However, she does show a lack of patience frequently with banal requests, and responds with great relief when she can simply fight out the solution.

Arrogant/Prideful: Failure isn't an option that occurs to Stelle. She believes she is strong enough, fast enough, and fully capable. Most of the time, she is. But she is prone to singing her own praises, often in a manner that could appear joking, but she's so earnest, and often immediately rebuked by her friends, that there is little doubt that she believes it. It pays off for her, more often than not, because it presents as confidence when you're the hero type. Again, it's not a malicious trait, and so far she can back it up, but it still presents as a reckless level of self-confidence, and could easily tip into arrogance, especially when provoked.

VIRTUES:

Generous: For all her protests to the contrary, Stelle never turns down a task, no matter how banal. She'll complain about the reward, now and then, but she will never deny her presence when requested, or her services when needed. Even when recognized as a local hero, she will still run courier errands, find missing jewelry, repair local landmarks, whatever is asked of her. She'll also drop whatever she's doing and travel to distant planets to revisit friends immediately upon invitation (which is also impulsive) in order to support them in whatever crisis or celebration is at hand. She'll spend her own money to supply food and other needed supplies to refugees. It borders on selfless, which is perhaps why she tries so hard to maintain a Cool image.

Determined: Once Stelle has set her mind to a task, she completes it. She doesn't make promises lightly, and even if she appears to take on responsibility on a whim, that doesn't mean she's flippant about the success of her endeavors. She will win the fight, however long it takes, however many tries and additional divergent universe side-tracks to upgrade her relics she must endure... She takes great pride in her accomplishments, and her stellar track record. So whether her goal is successfully running a restaurant for hungry fairies, or coaching a friend through a grueling martial arts competition, or saving the known universe from certain doom...she's got this.

Empathetic: Stelle has been shown to connect with others quickly, at least on a surface level, and to read their intentions and moods intuitively. She often has unexpected insights after conversations, and frequently makes decisions based purely on if it will make someone else happy. For example, allowing an aging man to continue a relationship with a heliobus (ghost) who was slowly draining him, because he was genuinely happy with them, and understood what he was getting into. Another heliobus just wanted to see the universe, no malicious intent, so she freed them, instead of capturing them. She'll lie to an old woman, saying her daughter might still be alive, when...it's likely not the case, trying to give her hope.

SUIT REQUESTS:

♠ SPADES: This would be my first choice for Stelle, the reason being, as an apparently artificially created entity, there may be some question of what constitutes a soul, and if she has one at all. Additionally, many of the options play into her Vices: arrogance, aggression, potential for corruption, selfishness... these are all things she tries, on some level, to keep a lid on, to play off as quirky parts of her hero personality, and I think having the opportunity to actually experience her dark side a little would be incredibly fun for me, and harrowing for her. With the Stellaron looming, she sometimes feels like a time bomb, and I think any of the given options, and then some, are genuinely potential outcomes for her at her lowest.

♦ DIAMONDS: This would be my secondary choice for Stelle. Honestly, because it would be fun, but also because again, Stelle has some agency issues with her body, with its origin and the fact that she's housing a Stellaron, so losing control of herself in this way, in addition to her general impulsiveness, could be a whole lot of mess for her to work through. She's pretty reserved when it comes to her physical connections with others, we rarely see hugs or other touches on screen, unless she's tumbled into someone accidentally. I would love to play with her needing to be close to others, and needing to be helped through it instead of relying on her own strengths.

RANK REQUESTS: N/A happy with literally anything
